Life is pain, so laugh at it.

I created this image in 2003, while still in art school, for my Live Journal account. Ha! I thought it was perfect for the site where almost everyone complained about their “terrible” lives.

It was a small 2 second animation and I didn’t think much of it. It was just my avatar.
Then it was everyone’s avatar. If you look up “life is pain” you’ll see it everywhere. That’s fine, it means people enjoy it and I’m super happy about that!

Then it was stolen. Some phone company ripped off what they thought was “free internet art” and put it up for sale.

I put this site together in the hope that anyone who’s enjoyed this silly piece of animation over the years could send some thanks my way by wearing the original art from the original artist.
